Building a New Technical Training Program

ASTD's Austin Chapter is launching a new Special Interest Group (SIG) called Leading Edge, hosted by Eryn Snowden-Rawley. Join us at La Madeleine in the Arboretum location for our kick-off meeting!

Program Description

This session will highlight the milestones of building a new technical training program in just 6 months -- practical information and best practices that you'll be able to leverage right away. 

The main topics to be covered are:

  • Gathering a great team
  • Analyzing efficiently
  • Hosting effective knowledge transfers
  • Creating useful objectives
  • Using labs as an assessment
  • Leveraging an LMS 

About the Speaker

Eryn Snowden-RileyEryn Snowden-Riley is a Field Service Technical Trainer with 12 years of technical training and instructional design experience in the bio-tech industry. She is currently working on a master's degree in Education from Northeastern University, with a specialization in Adult, Organizational, and Distance Learning.

Eryn lives in south Austin with her rescue kitty Harley. She is also Director of a grassroots non-profit organization called Macpack, which benefits the homeless community in Austin.
