Michele Lau-Torres is a visionary leader with over 20 years of experience in performance and organizational development. As the first Chief Learning Officer for the City of Austin, she launched the Learning, Engagement, and Development (LEAD) Office in May 2024, dedicated to leadership growth, training innovation, and employee engagement.
Michele’s career spans diverse sectors, including utilities, public safety, transportation, education, hospitality, and local government where she has designed impactful leadership programs, elevated workplace culture, and implemented transformative talent strategies.
