Leaving ADDIE for SAM: An Agile Model for Developing the Best Learning Experiences

Program Description:

Is the ADDIE process is past its prime? Many, including Dr. Michael Allen -- Chairman and CEO of Allen Interactions, believe that  it is. ADDIE was developed long before Agile and other iterative processes that have introduced greater efficiencies in design and development, fostered more creativity, and addressed effective stakeholder involvement. 

Dr. Allen's new book, Leaving ADDIE for SAM: An Agile Model for Developing the Best Learning Experiences, introduces two new concepts: SAM and SAVVY Start. Together, they incorporate contemporary design and development processes that reduce the complexity of instructional design and development, yielding more energetic and effective learning experiences.

In this interactive session, Steve Lee, co-founder of Allen Interactions, will outline best practices for using an iterative process -- the Successive Approximation Model (SAM).
