Isla Reddin

Coach, EMCC EIA Practitioner, Educator, Entrepreneur, Life-Long Learning Evangelist

Isla Reddin is a corporate performance coach passionate about bringing diverse tools and strategies to support individuals and teams to grow and reach their desired goals. Her background in curriculum design, training, and project management informs her coaching practice. Isla believes new tools and paradigms of learning need to be constantly created to meet the needs of individuals and society.

In her early career, Isla supported global sales, media, and PR events for international automotive, pharmaceutical, and financial services companies. In the past 15 years, she has worked in Europe and the US as a consultant and corporate performance coach with multiple clients, and as an entrepreneur in the tech, and education spaces. She understands how to help leaders and teams handle the diverse challenges they face with practical, creative, and flexible solutions.

Mike Montaño

Manager of Learning and Development

Michael has over thirteen years of experience in the banking industry with the last seven focused on training delivery/facilitation, designing, developing, and implementing successful learning and development initiatives that align with business strategies.

He currently works as a Manager of Learning and Development for Austin Capital Bank and is currently working toward his CPTD.

Born and mostly raised in New Mexico, Michael (or commonly known as just Mike) enjoys spending most of his time outdoors. Using the weather Austin has to offer, you can find him on his mountain bike at Brushy Creek, playing soccer at Zilker Park, paddle boarding on Town Lake or hanging out at the dog park with his pup!

Alicia Kae Miller

Empathy Activist + Founder

Alicia is a humanitarian, empathy activist, and founder of Empathy Uprise ℠, a social movement galvanizing humanity toward greater compassion and less hate.

A native of Washington State, she has lived in New York, California, and is currently a resident of Austin, Texas.

With travel to over twenty countries under her wing, Alicia spent over three decades working in diverse industries such as aviation, investment banking, commercial real estate, and biotechnology.

Creator and host of Solidarists, a monthly videocast featuring conversations that shine a light on the dark parts of our lives, work, and communities, Alicia holds an MSc in Leadership and Change from St. Edward's University and a BA in Humanities and Cultural Studies from the Dominican University of California.

Jaimie Krause, PhD

Senior Manager, Learning and Development at Indeed

Jaimie Krause, PhD is an Educational Psychologist who leads a global Learning & Development team at Indeed focused on supporting GTM for our Sales, Client Success, and Support Team internal clients.

Jaimie adopts an interdisciplinary approach to her work and is driven by two key focus areas: 1) Emphasizing the importance of workplace well-being so leaders, individual contributors, and teams can deliver their best work, and 2) Supporting enablement professionals to develop the business acumen and evaluation rigor required to demonstrate business impact and ROI. She looks for ways educational psychology (the study of how people learn) can inform and enrich corporate L&D/TD strategy.

In line with her areas of focus, Jaimie recently presented at ATD 2023-San Diego with Rotary International’s CHRO Kristopher Newbauer on Beyond Level 2: Designing Meaningful Learning Programs with Evaluation in Mind. She was honored to be recognized by Sales Enablement Pro in their 2022 cohort of Women Making an Impact in Sales Enablement and was published in Training Magazine for her thought piece exploring the role of mindset in workplace productivity and engagement.

Jaimie holds a PhD in Educational Psychology and Masters degrees in Counseling (MEd) and Program Evaluation (MA) from the University of Texas at Austin. She is certified in the Leadership Versatility Index (LVI) and The Six Types of Working Genius.

Laura Takakjy

Curriculum Developer

Laura is a Curriculum Developer who creates, updates, and maintains eLearning courses for AVIXA, the professional association for audio/visual professionals. Laura has always been enthusiastic about technical topics and strives to create clear, accessible learning experiences that positively impact individuals’ professional lives.

Laura is new to learning and development—just last year, she was a K-12 English teacher who served students with dyslexia. Before that, Laura worked in academia and taught undergraduates. She earned a departmental award for teaching excellence, was nominated for university-wide teaching awards, and won numerous fellowships for her research on philosophical poetry.

Laura holds a PhD in Classics and an MA in Latin from The University of Texas at Austin. She earned her BA in Classical Studies with a minor in Political Science from Dickinson College, where she graduated summa cum laude.

Matthew Morgan

Master Trainer

Matthew is a Master Trainer and has a passion for developing himself and others. He has obtained his Prosci Change Practitioner certification and ATD Master Trainer designation, and has been in the coaching and facilitating industry for over six years. Matthew is currently obtaining his APTD certification through ATD.

Although he grew up in Michigan, Matthew loves calling Texas home. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Erica and his two children Kayla and Micah. He also enjoys college sports, good food and great music. Those who know him know they can always count on him for a good laugh, a kind word, and his willingness to keep the learner’s needs the highest priority.


Renee Minium

Senior Learning and Talent Development Associate

Renee Minium is a senior instructional designer at Thornton Tomasetti, an engineering firm with offices globally. Renee believes that creativity and organization is essential to successful learning projects. She has been an instructional designer/trainer for more than 15 years. She especially enjoys creating elearning and has created ILT, vILT, microlearning and gamified learning as well.  She is a Storyline expert, advocates making accessible courses and is learning about xAPI.


Steve Peglar, SPHR, SHRM-SCP 

Senior HR Leader

Steve Peglar is a senior HR leader with 30 years of extensive and diverse experience in HR consulting and management. For over two of those decades, Steve served as senior partner and consultant with a premier HR consulting firm in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area, working with clients in a broad range of industries, and with the remainder of his career spent in executive leadership, HR management, and internal consulting roles. Steve currently serves as Deputy Executive Director & Head of HR/Organizational Development for the Housing Authority of Travis County, in addition to operating his own human resources consulting firm (HR Strategies of Texas, LLC).

Throughout his career, Steve has maintained a strategic and tactical focus in a wide variety of human resources areasincluding HR legal ®ulatory compliance, employee relations, policy development, EEO, organizational development, HR best practices, organizational culture, HR audits & reviews, workplace investigations, training & development, onboarding, outplacement, executive coaching, personality/workplace profiles (certified analyst with MBTI, Predictive Index, & True Colors), organizational studies, change management, performance management systems, organizational design, succession planning, workplace surveys, affirmative action plan development, compensation plan design & administration, market-based compensation analysis, total rewards program design, recruiting & executive search, HR technology, workplace benefits, M&A due diligence audits, expert witnesstestimony & litigation support, strategic planning facilitation, international human resources, employee immigration issues, labor relations, executive compensation, workplace safety, and more.

Steve is active in the community and has worked with a variety of nonprofit service organizations, including having served on the boards of directors of Community Healthcare of Texas (Board Chair), the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth (Board Chair & Board of Trustees member), Susan G. Komen Foundation of Greater Fort Worth, Boy Scouts of America Longhorn Council, the YMCA, and Fort Worth HR Management Association. He is also a graduate of the 2014 Leadership Fort Worth Class. In addition, he is a member of Austin SHRM (where he has served as a professional Mentor) and the Austin Association for Talent Development.
