Coaching Skills for Trainers & Developers

Program Description:

Coaching skills are really just advanced communication skills that are relevant in all types of personal and professional relationships. Co-Active Coaching skills improve listening and communication skills for trainers, developers, executives, non-profit leaders, managers, sales teams, small business owners, parents, and anyone who interacts with anyone else!

By building your coaching skills, you can become a more effective and influential communicator.

In this highly experiential presentation, you'll see coaching demonstrations, experience a coaching conversation with a partner, and enjoy other interactive learning that the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) is famous for.

During this session, you will:

  • Identify the difference between a regular conversation and a coaching conversation
  • Explore the 4 cornerstones of the Co-Active  Coaching Mindset
  • Discover the 3 levels of listening, and experience how a conversation shifts depending on how you focus your listening
  • Learn the art of asking powerful questions
  • Practice a coaching conversation so that you will be able to use your new skills confidently in your personal and professional life
NEWS FLASH! For your viewing and learning pleasure, we will be bringing large-scale, live graphics to this presentation.

In addition to being a Certified Life Coach, Katherine is also a Graphics Recorder and Facilitator -- which means she creates large-scale, real-time, illustrated records of meetings and presentations...usually for others, but this time she'll be simultaneously presenting and recording!

If you've never seen live graphic facilitation before, check out this video explanation and demo.

Katherine leads the Austin Ambassador team for the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and is on the faculty of The Art School at Laguna Gloria - Austin Museum of Art. She is a CTI-certified Co-Active Coach and UT Austin graduate.
