Rapid eLearning Makeover with David Anderson: A Quick Process to Improve Your Slide Designs

NOTE: Register by June 11 to reserve a lunch.

Credit card users MUST pay in advance. If you are paying at the event, we can only take cash or check.

Program Description:

If you show a few sentences or paragraphs to a trainer or instructional designer, they'll quickly tell you exactly how the writing can be improved for effective learning to take place.

But give them an entire PowerPoint presentation or eLearning course for feedback -- and the suggestions you get may be vague. Even if there's room for improvement, many people don't have a vocabulary for discussing the visual elements that contribute to learning effectiveness.

Recognizing visual pitfalls is just like copy-editing a script -- you must follow very basic rules and apply them consistently. Join us for an interactive presentation that outlines fundamental guidelines of visual design...focusing on those that are most relevant to PowerPoint presentations and eLearning modules.

This interactive session covers:

  • Tips and best practices for increasing the visual impact of your slides
  • A simple 5-point makeover process for visually editing slide content
  • Applying the 5-point makeover process on slides submitted by attendees*

To submit your PowerPoint training presentation for a "live makeover" during this session, email it to programs@austinastd.org by 5:00 pm on June 13.
