The Way We've Been Working Isn't Working

Join us for the June Feet on the Street SIG where talent development professionals share current interests.

What happens when your organization hits a crossroad and you are tasked with bridging the skill gap? What do you do when you have a reduced budget, more tasks than time, and no team? Join Joan Maddux in an open discussion as we share challenges we face when our resources are drastically reduced. We'll share what works and focus on how we overcome obstacles.

Joan Maddux, CPTD, has been with Trellis Company for 16 years, during which she has focused on creating learning and development solutions that have not only assisted in the development of individuals but the organization as a whole. Her focus has been to create an engaged and knowledgeable culture committed to customer service excellence. She has onboarded, trained, and coached employees, many of whom have gone on to pursue successful careers within the organization.

Joan is passionate about learning and development, employee engagement, technology, and the customer experience. She believes that an engaged workforce leads to success, that technology should be embraced as a tool to bridge performance gaps, and that a strong corporate culture with a shared vision is the glue that holds it all together.

Her strengths lie in her ability to design and strategically roll out learning and development initiatives by analyzing performance gaps and creating solutions that are creative, insightful, and focused. Her education in business administration, contact centers, and professional development makes Joan a strategic player ensuring there is a clear connection between key corporate drivers and development initiatives.
