From Training to OD – Tiptoeing to a New Opportunity

Today’s Mission:  Feel—firsthand—a typical customer experience, then frame interventions using an OD perspective.  Apply this activity to where you are now and leave with at least two actions you can take to shape your OD arsenal.

In this session, you will leave with:

• An operational definition of OD and typical components used in the workplace
• Insight on OD skills you currently have and are not fully owning
• Two actions you will do to expand and develop your OD footprint. 

Cyndi  Tierney has a long and deep background in healthcare, most recently serving as VP for Patient Experience, formulating  strategy and interventions for improving patient perception of care. She conducted assessments and competencies, led improvement teams, coached leaders, and trained, all part of a day in the life of an embedded OD consultant.

Cyndi has also been a Director of Training & Development, led her hospital’s Malcolm Baldrige application, spent a few years teaching Adjunct for a capstone internship HOD class, and trained bankers in Kuwait on leadership and communication skills. She currently has two four-legged children who love running after neighborhood wildlife, and a husband who helps with regular de-skunking baths for the whole family
