Best Practices for Voice-over Narration - What goes into making a great audio component to your training?

When and why would you use professional voice-over? What do you consider when you are looking for a professional voice-over artist?  Does your project require an energetic or casual sound? Smooth and formal? How will the voice-over enhance or effect the training? What, from the professional’s point of view, makes a good script?

  • List common pitfalls when working with a VO artist
  • Identify selection criteria for choosing a VO artist

About the Speaker(s):

Staci Snell is a voice actor, director and producer who has recorded hundreds of eLearning courses and industrial training programs.  She has also narrated and directed multiple audiobooks for Penguin Random House.  In addition, Staci has voiced several radio and television projects which include work for Dell, Microsoft, Frito Lay, Whole Foods, US Navy and ABC’s American Crime.

Kristina Smith: With 10 years of experience in multimedia, Kristina is an expert in communication. She combines her knowledge of video, design, training and education in all of her projects. Kristina is the owner of Imagine You Media, a full-service multimedia company that specializes in video, online training and graphic design, founded in 2015.

Brandon Winston is a professional instructional designer with solid training design, production, and delivery experience. Well versed in live classes, online courses, and on-demand solutions with skills to produce a superior product that achieves outstanding results. Prior to Microassist, he worked with Atlassian and StubHub.
