Onboarding should provide new employees with the knowledge skills and behaviors to become effective organizational members and insiders. That’s quite a challenge for a Dell, Inc., given its complex and robust product line, combined with a global presence. Come hear how Dell’s team collaborates to design and deliver exceptional sales onboarding. Our presenters will facilitate a discussion of onboarding best practices, challenges and triumphs. The presentation is from their perspective, and we are seeking yours. This SIG is a highly interactive opportunity to learn, network and grow your own learning and development skills.

About Our Presenters

Jill Elaine Margos, Program Manager Global Onboarding, manages the onboarding core global content and has also created the agendas that support the program for newly hired sales people. Jill formerly managed the instructional design of Dell sales tools such as Salesforce.com, DellStar, Premier, Business Management System and others. Some of her additional projects include Instructional Design for key territory management, planning and customer reference programs.

Brian Dudley facilitates sales training to the Dell inside and field sales teams. He is aligned with peer trainers to act as a master trainer on a few of the company's key selling skills programs such as Consultative Selling Skills, Account Planning Level 1 & 2, Conversation Guides, Strategic Customer Acquisition, and Customer Mindset. He also provides support delivery execution of major training programs.

Ricky Brooks conducts quarterly training needs analysis and creates training calendars. He ensures trainings are aligned with local business objectives and developmental needs of sales teams. He is responsible for the delivery of sales training: New Hire Onboarding, Selling Skills for Inside and Outside sales, Account Planning, Acceleration Training and Entry Level Technical Training. Ricky conducts instructor led and virtual training.
