Communities of Practice 

Your membership in ATD Austin includes our vital, growing communities of practice. Each Community of Practice (formerly Special Interest Group -SIG) is hosted by an experienced professional focused on supporting your continued development and building a network of like-minded people. 

Come and enjoy small group discussions to deepen your skills and network with fellow ATD Austin members. While CoP are currently being held virtually we hope to see you in person later in the year. Meeting links are sent after event registration is complete.

Career Transition
Meets 2nd Tuesday, every month (Jan-Nov)

The Career Transitions CoP is designed for talent development professionals who are seeking a new opportunity, or anyone interested in joining the training profession. You’ll learn new strategies for your job search, get job openings, and network with others. 

Meetings are free and open to the public.

Catherine Jewell is the Career Passion Coach and author of the book New Resume New Career, the only book of resumes just for career changers. 

Through her coaching and workshops, she has helped hundreds of business professionals find their Career Passions, create new business ventures, or find new jobs. She writes resumes, provides career testing, and helps with all phases of job seeking.

Catherine's corporate work includes contract training in the areas of Leadership, Communication and Presentation Skills for some of Austin's largest technology companies.

Sales Enablement 

Meets 4th Tuesday, odd months 


The Sales Enablement CoP is designed for talent development professionals who support sales organizations or have an interest in becoming Sales Enablement professionals. This discussion forum is structured to allow best practices sharing. Discussions are how to add value for your sellers and show ROI to stakeholders. Brainstorm challenges like SME or timeline management all with like-minded group of professional. Above all it will help you build a network to lean on throughout your career.

Meetings are free to members and $10 for non-members.

She is an ATD Austin past President with extensive experience designing sales enablement roadmaps and supporting learning content, as well as project and personnel management, analysis, content development, design, delivery and evaluation utilizing Challenger and Sandler sales methodologies.

Learning Technologies
Meets 4th Tuesday, even months 

The Learning Technologies CoP presents the latest developments in blended and technical learning, instructional design, eLearning and educational technology. Our meetings are small and formatted so that you can ask questions of our host presenter to deepen your understanding of the learning industry. You'll leave with information you can put to work!

Meetings are free for members and $10 for non-members.

  Tiffany Rhodes  serves as the liaison for the organization featuring the latest in virtual ideologies across industries. Her experience and broad knowledge give her the ability to reach out to a wide range of constitutes and industry leaders through out the United States. She brings 20 years of experience in leading innovative teaching and learning for academia and corporate settings. As a leader in the community she promotes STEM program to underrepresented youths in the community through the Boys and Girls Club and Community Engagement Events.
